Blue Harbor Moon

How     can you leave me so soon
Even as the blue   blue harbor moon
Above keeps its warm  night light aglow
Only to watch over us here below

What more can I say  What can I do
So that you’ll stay till night is through
You see, a birdie once told me at break of day
Only morning dreams come true

So if you decide    you must now be gone
Remember the truth   will not then be shown
For if we dream apart    we will dream alone
But if you stay    we’ll soon come to know
That what a birdie once told me is so

Don’t you know  how I long to hear you say
“Here by your side   tonight   I will stay.”
Under the stars which come to guide our way
As the moon    light grows stronger

But don’t let me or him   change your plan
If you go  we will try  to understand
But if you leave then please   leave  as you go
A promise  to come  back soon

For though he   and I   so  want you to stay
Don’t let us  a moment  longer delay,    no
We    will  both    keep our hearts   held at bay
As   me   and the moon     watch you     go away

From  me   and the blue......blue.......
               Blue      harbor    moon

How

When you left the other night
Without saying goodbye
I remembered all the times
I'd somehow made you cry
Cause I wouldn't show the side
You really loved me for
And I gave just enough
When you needed so much more

So if you wake one night to find yourself
Lost and alone
Please don't think of me
Don't call my name out low
Cause I'm not the man you hoped
Would never let you down
The man you tried to see in me
Is not the one you found

You could break this heart of stone if you tried
You could open it up to show what’s inside
You’re the one who holds the key to the door
Of this heart of stone

You know I knew what you missed
And still could not let go
Of feelings that another man
Would have opened up to show
But the tears you cry won't fall
Upon this shoulder now
Of the man who knew what woulda made you stay
Yet had forgotten how

How to take you in his arms
The way he used to do
To make you laugh
Specially when inside you're feeling blue
How to be your rock by day
Your comfort every night
And to kiss you gently upon each
First ray of morning light

Just try to remember me
As the guy you used to know
Before he’d forgotten how
To let the best he had show
And what you needed most
Became more than he'd allow
Though he still remembered what to give
He had forgotten how

How to take you in his arms (repeat 3rd verse as countermelody)
The way he did before
How to know just what you want
And then give you so much more
How to be the man who only wants to treat his lady right
And to kiss you gently upon each
First ray of morning light

SOMETHING

Today
outside my window
the birds still sing
like they sang for two
yesterday
Any fool could tell
they sing just as well
since you've gone away

but now I'm lost in a dream of when
you looked my way and then
you stole my heart
Why do fools always remember
those perfect moments at the start
which somehow turn into
those which break apart…
What ever happened to our love?

Hope you've found someone to
keep you warm come rain or snow
Don’t we all want something more
something left to show
But then isn't something always left behind
when someone has to go?

Tomorrow
the sun will rise
and though your eyes
open to find someone new
hope its someone who
knows what's left behind
when someone has to go
